Good Eats, The History of Cocktails walks you through…. well the history of cocktails in one whirlwind minute. One of the more fun animations we created for the series, this project shows how the American Revolution might have been the stat of what we call the cocktail today. These animations have a decidedly quirky, low-key feel about them as the result of a collaboration through animator Walter Biscardi, Jr. and Producer Alton Brown. We were approached by Mueller to come up with a simple, yet effective way to help demonstrate a new product offering in 1 minute or less. BCM Principal Walter Biscardi Jr. designed a spot built around the infographic concept but keeping the screen very clean to draw your attention to the important information. Working closely with the Mueller Communications Department the spot is designed both for use by the sales team and for display online and at major events. While music does help drive the infographic, this was designed so that the viewer does not have to hear any audio to understand the message of what the product does. This is especially important in noisy locations such as the floor of a convention or trade show.
