Wooooooooo, this is what I was talking about the other day when I said they had some neat things coming from FSI very shortly. You can now control your FSI monitors using an iPad or iPhone!
“What do you mean control?” you say? I mean every single button, knob and menu can be controlled using a remote interface on an iPad or iPhone. It’s really slick and it works on WiFi so you do need to pick up a WiFi receiver from FSI in order to use the features.
There are facilities where the monitors are mounted up high or out of the easy reach of the editor / colorist and the simple task of switching from 1 video input to another can be challenging. So now, you don’t even have to move, just hit the controls on the iDevice and you can change the monitor at will.
Very slick little update and it was fun playing with it at their shop. If you need a little help reaching your FSI monitor, this is definitely an add-on for you. The App is free, but there is a charge for the WiFi receiver.
