Another two day update. The MBA crew continued with the siding and the roof on the building. We’re very closed to have a closed in building.
AUGUST 23
You can see the back of the building is completely sided, the scaffolding in the foreground is for the workers to get up to put the roof on.
John standing next to the garage door opening on the left side of the building. That’s going to be very handy when we move in.
Looking from left to right across the building (I’m standing in the garage door opening) They put the roof on before they do the front to make for easier access to the interior of the building while they do the roofing.
Reverse of the previous shot, looking back at the garage door. I’m standing in Edit Suite 4 right here. You can see the pipes sticking up in the back of the Machine Room on the left and the bathrooms in the distance.
Here’s the end of the day on the 23rd. Three sides are up, the roof is half done. No, that’s not the final color of the building, there will be a nice brick blend going up next week.
AUGUST 24
Here we are just one day later. The roof is done and the front is more than halfway completed. This time the whole gang came with me, that’s Adrienne and Jenny checking out the interior. Adrienne is already planning her first basketball games in the new space.
Same picture from yesterday, standing in Edit Suite 4 looking back across the building. The roof is done, you can see the front siding is up and the window cutouts along the front of the building. John is standing in my private bathroom. Nice, I don’t even get the chance to use it first!
The front of the building showing you all that’s left of the siding. Just 11 days ago we didn’t even have a concrete slab and now we almost have a framed in building. Have I said recently how good these guys are from Metal Building Associates? They’re REALLY good!
Here’s “Time Lapse” View #1. Quite the change from back in June when we first started.
Here’s “Time Lapse” View #2. Next week you won’t even see the siding anymore….
Still stunned at how quickly this is all becoming reality. Joe McCabe has really been doing a great job managing all the moving parts on this project and can’t thank Greg Thigpen and his team at MBA enough for the great work they’re doing on the shell.
