It’s been raining quite a bit of late so progress has been a little bit slow at the site. But we still have another 2 weeks or so before the building shows up anyway, so there’s no rush at the moment.
Today the crews came out to mark the four corners of the building and were originally going to dig the footings. But it turns out the dirt was graded just a little bit too low so the grading company will be coming back out to make some adjustments to the land and bring the level of the dirt up. Hopefully in a day or two they will resume marking the place off and getting the footings in place.
We can finally see two right corners and the back left corner of the building. 100 feet wide, 60 feet deep and about 20 feet tall when the building is completed . Our current space? 44 feet wide and 20 feet deep with the kitchen an extra 20 feet x 6 feet. Yeah, this building is going to be just a little bit larger……
Another view from the right side of the building. That big mound of dirt was held over on the site just for this type of reason. The grading company will use that dirt to bring up the level of the building about 4 inches or so. Incredible you can do such fine work with huge equipment. You would think it’d be impossible to just lay down another four inches of dirt using huge bulldozers, but these guys are good.
